Get answers to common questions about 1/2 Back Waxing.
Most appointments take about 15-30 minutes depending on hair density and client comfort. We include a quick consultation and aftercare instructions so you leave clean and informed. Sensitive skin may require extra time or gentle adjustments.
Some stinging is normal, especially on the first session, but most clients find discomfort brief. We recommend exfoliating beforehand, avoiding caffeine, and taking a mild pain reliever if needed. Our estheticians use techniques to minimize pain and apply soothing aftercare.
Ideally hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long (roughly two weeks of growth). This allows the wax to grip hair effectively for clean removal. If hair is too short, wait a few days; too long hair may be trimmed beforehand.
Avoid shaving or using chemical depilatories between waxing sessions, as they remove hair at different points and can interfere with wax grip. If regrowth is inconsistent, book a touch-up or let hair grow out to recommended length for the next waxing.
Yes in most cases, but consult us first. Our estheticians perform a brief skin assessment and may patch-test wax on a small area. For active acne, open wounds, or certain skin conditions we may recommend alternative hair removal or medical clearance.
Keep the area clean and dry for 24 hours, avoid hot baths, saunas, and direct sun. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free soothing lotion or aloe gel, exfoliate lightly after 48-72 hours, and schedule maintenance waxing every 4-6 weeks as needed.
