Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about 1/2 Leg Waxing.

Hair should be about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long (about 7–12 mm). This length allows the wax to grip properly. If too short, waxing may be less effective; if too long, we can trim for comfort before service.

You may feel brief stinging as hair is removed, especially on first treatments. Pain varies by individual; technicians use quick strips, calming techniques and soothing products. We can suggest numbing options if you're highly sensitive.

Most clients return every 4–6 weeks depending on personal hair growth. Regular waxing can extend intervals as regrowth slows and thins. Your technician will recommend an ideal schedule based on how quickly your hair returns and your smoothness goals.

If you have sensitive skin, inform your technician. Certain medications (including retinoids and blood thinners) or recent sun exposure increase irritation risk. We may perform a patch test, suggest a waiting period, or offer alternative hair removal methods.

Avoid hot baths, sun exposure, saunas and heavy workouts for 24–48 hours. Apply soothing aloe or our post-wax serum, wear loose clothing, and exfoliate gently after 48–72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.

Shaving between waxing appointments removes regrowth needed for effective waxing and may cause uneven results. If necessary, trim with scissors or an electric trimmer rather than razor blades. Always let hair reach proper length before your next waxing session.
