Ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long (roughly two weeks of growth), gently exfoliate two days prior, avoid heavy moisturizers or recent tanning, and arrive with clean, dry skin. Notify your therapist of any medications or skin conditions.

Apply an alcohol-free soothing lotion or aloe, avoid hot showers, intense exercise, sun exposure, and saunas for 24–48 hours. Gently exfoliate after 48 hours to prevent ingrown hairs and keep the area clean and moisturized.
