Get answers to common questions about Lip Waxing.
Most clients feel brief, mild discomfort — a quick sting when hair is removed. Pain varies by sensitivity and technician technique. We use experienced staff and calming products; topical numbing can be applied on request for very sensitive clients before treatment.
Results typically last three to six weeks depending on your hair growth cycle and hormone levels. With regular waxing sessions, hair often grows back finer and sparser; your technician will recommend timing tailored to your personal regrowth pattern.
Come with clean, dry skin and avoid makeup on the lip area. Do not tweeze or wax between appointments; leave hairs about a quarter-inch long. Avoid retinoids or aggressive exfoliation 48–72 hours before to reduce sensitivity.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy makeup, and sun exposure for 24 hours to prevent irritation. Apply aloe or a soothing antiseptic if needed, and refrain from exfoliating or using strong acids for 48–72 hours to protect the skin.
Most people can get Lip Waxing, but exclusions include active cold sores, sunburned or broken skin, recent chemical peels, and some medications like isotretinoin. Inform your technician about medical conditions or medications to determine suitability and perform a patch test if needed.
Schedule Lip Waxing every three to six weeks based on your individual hair growth. Regular appointments promote finer regrowth and more predictable timing. Your technician will suggest an ideal interval after assessing hair thickness, growth rate, and past waxing history.
